Variables
Ash-throated Flycatcher
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with a July
maximum temperature (hex. med.) of 28-30 C and June precipitation
(hex. med.) of 11-32 mm. Somewhat less likely in cooler hexagons
(July maximum temperature [hex. med.] of 27 C), if more than 12%
juniper woodland, or with little or no juniper woodland but with more
than 4% mixed forest with Douglas-fir dominant. The logistic
regression analysis showed positive or negative association with big
sagebrush shrubland, juniper woodland, mixed deciduous forest
(Siskiyou Mtns.), June precipitation (hex. med.), and-to a lesser
degree-number of land cover types, May minimum temperature (hex.
min.), and the extent of public land.
